We transformed our website from WordPress to static pages
We changed. That was a ride. Our site was yet implemented in WordPress before. WordPress was a kind of comforrable. Our problems were:
- Slow (even with several cache plugins)
- Expensive because of plugin subscriptions
- Database driven, which causes some of the performance issues
- Insecure - WordPress is always in danger to be cracked
- Hard to get an acceptable design fast
- Newest: Problems with the founder and Copyright owner
Now we moved to static pages and get probably better performance everywhere.
